Hawaiian Pizza Burgers
- 1- 1/2 pound Ground Bison (or Lean Ground Beef)
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tablespoon Plus 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 pinch Generous Pinch Of Pepper
- 1/2 cups Rolled (old Fashioned) Oats
- 12 Rings Of Canned Or Fresh Pineapple
- 6 slices Thick-cut, Cooked Ham
- 6 slices Reduced Fat Mozzarella Cheese
- 6 Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns
- Pizza Sauce, As Much As Desired

- For the burger: 2.
- In a large bowl mix together the bison, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and oats.
- Mix well to make sure the oats are well distributed.
- Let the meat sit while you prep the toppings.

- Heat your grill to high heat and grill the pineapple rings until they have that grilled look, about 2-3 minutes a side.
- Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
- 4.
- Now, grill the ham the same way that you grilled the pineapple.
- Again, cover to keep warm.

- Divide the meat mixture into six equal portions and form into patties.
- Turn the heat down to medium and cook the burgers, until you reach your desired done-ness.
- I did mine 5 minutes per side and placed the cheese on in the final two minutes after flipping.
- Transfer patties to a plate and cover to keep warm.

- Turn the heat up to high and place the buns face-side down on the grill until lightly toasted, about 2-3 minutes.
- 7.
- To assemble: 8.
- Spread as much pizza sauce as youd like on the cut sides of each bun.
- Then top the bottom of the bun with 1 slice of ham, one burger patty, and then 2 slices of grilled pineapple.
- Add the top bun and serve.
