Brownie Swirl Cheesecake Recipe

  1. To make the crust: Grease the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Prepare basic brownie mix as directed on package; pour proportionately into springform pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min.
  4. To make cheesecake: Combine cream cheese, sugar and vanilla, mixing at medium speed with electric mixer till well-blended.
  5. Add in Large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Pour over brownie layer.
  7. Spoon melted chocolate over cream cheese mix; cut through batter with a knife several times for a marbled effect.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min.
  9. With a knife, carefully loosen cake from rim of pan.
  10. Cold completely before removing rim.
  11. Refrigeratefor 8 hrs for best results.
  12. Serve garnished with whipped cream, if you like.
  13. Cheesecake will be shallow and dense.
  14. * Instead of an 8-oz package of brownie mix, you can prepare a 16-oz box of brownie mix, using half for the cheesecake crust and the other half for brownies.
