Brownie Swirl Cheesecake Recipe
- 1 pkt brownie mix* (8-oz)
- 2 pkt cream cheese (8 ounce. ea.) softened
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1 c. lowfat milk chocolate pcs melted Whipped cream for garnish if you like
- To make the crust: Grease the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Prepare basic brownie mix as directed on package; pour proportionately into springform pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min.
- To make cheesecake: Combine cream cheese, sugar and vanilla, mixing at medium speed with electric mixer till well-blended.
- Add in Large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Pour over brownie layer.
- Spoon melted chocolate over cream cheese mix; cut through batter with a knife several times for a marbled effect.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min.
- With a knife, carefully loosen cake from rim of pan.
- Cold completely before removing rim.
- Refrigeratefor 8 hrs for best results.
- Serve garnished with whipped cream, if you like.
- Cheesecake will be shallow and dense.
- * Instead of an 8-oz package of brownie mix, you can prepare a 16-oz box of brownie mix, using half for the cheesecake crust and the other half for brownies.
