Crock Pot Black Beans and Rum
- 1 lb dried black beans
- 1 ham hock
- 1 small onion
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 12 teaspoon thyme
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 14 cup rum
- 12 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- sour cream
- Place beans in slow cooker and add next 7 ingredients.
- Cook on low for 8 hours.
- Remove ham and bay leaf.
- Cut meat off the bone; return to pot.
- In a bowl, combine flour, rum and Tabasco sauce.
- Stir into beans and blend well.
- Serve with sour cream.
