Bacon Sandwich Recipe

  1. Cook the bacon rashers in a large frying pan over a medium heat till starting to crisp turning once.
  2. Remove the bacon from the pan and keep hot.
  3. To the saucepan add in one Tbsp.
  4. of lard.
  5. Fry two slices of bread on one side only till crisp and golden brown remove and keep hot.
  6. Repeat with the remaining bread and lard.
  7. Place the fried bread on a flat surface uncooked sides up.
  8. Top each of two slices with one rasher of back bacon and two of streaky.
  9. Season with grnd black pepper.
  10. Now the difficult part approx HP or possibly ketchup Im a ketchup man myself.
  11. Top each sandwich with the other slices of fried bread crispy side up.
  12. Enjoy while still warm.
  13. For a Sunday treat we used to add in a fried egg.
