Apple Nut Cinnamon Ice Cream (Motts) Recipe
- 1 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
- 4 c. Lowfat milk
- 4 x Large eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 pt Whipping cream, (4 c.)
- 23 ounce Chunky Apple Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Vanilla
- 1 tsp Or possibly 2 cinnamon
- 2/3 c. Minced walnuts
- In large saucepan, combine brown sugar, lowfat milk and Large eggs.
- Cook over low heat till mix coats a metal spoon, stirring constantly.
- Cold.
- Stir cream, apple sauce, vanilla, cinnamon and walnuts into cooled mix.
- Prepare 4 or possibly 5-qt ice cream freezer according to manufacturer s directions; freeze as directed.
- Yields 4 qts.
- Notes: Pantry: Mott's Chunky Apple Sauce.
- This recipe can easily be reducedby half or possibly even fourths to accommodate some of the smaller ice cream freezers available on the market.
