Marinara Sauce Recipe
- 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/3 c. fresh minced parsley
- 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 28 ounce. can crushed Italian tomatoes
- 6 ounce. tomato paste
- 1 tomato paste can of water
- 1/2 tbsp. A-1 sauce
- 1/2 tbsp. barbeque sauce
- 1/2 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Saute/fry onion, garlic and parsley in oil in a skillet.
- Add in mushrooms and saute/fry a little more.
- Fold in tomatoes, tomato paste, water, A-1 sauce, barbeque sauce, ketchup and oregano.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 1/2 hour, till sauce thickens.
