Pecan Cheese Balls Recipe
- 2 c. very fine saltine crumbs (50, 2" crackers)
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 c. finely grnd pecans
- 1/2 c. finely minced onion
- 6 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1 tbsp. garlic
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 2 tbsp. oil
- In large mixing bowl combine all ingredients except oil.
- Shape into 24 (1 1/2 inch) balls.
- Brown in oil in large skillet, 5 min or possibly till golden brown.
- Remove with slotted spoon, place in single layer in 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
- Top with Tomato Sauce, cover with foil.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till sauce is thick and bubbly.
- Serves 6.
