Beef 'N Potato Bake Recipe
- 4 c. frzn hash brown potatoes, thawed
- 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/8 teaspoon grnd black pepper
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 pkg. (3/4 ounce.) brown gravy mix
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 pkg. (10 ounce.) frzn mixed vegetables
- 1 c. (4 ounce.) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 can (2.8 ounce.) French fried onions
- In a shallow 1 1/2 qt baking dish combine potatoes, oil and pepper.
- Firmly press mix across bottom and up sides of dish to create a shell.
- Bake uncovered, at 400 degrees for 15 min.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet brown beef; drain.
- Stir in gravy mix, water and garlic salt; bring to a boil.
- Add in mixed vegetables; reduce heat to medium and cook 5 min.
- Stir in 1/2 c. cheese and 1/2 can French fried onions; place in potato shell.
- Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 15 min.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions.
- Bake 5 min longer.
