Fig Compote

  1. Trim hard stem ends off figs.
  2. Medium dice figs.
  3. Combine all ingredients in saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce to simmer.
  6. Simmer until liquid evaporated.
  7. Serve warm or cooled.

fluid ounces lemon juice, water, sugar, ground cumin, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground cayenne pepper
