Blushing Pears
- 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) Jell-O Raspberry Jelly Powder
- 1 L (4 cups) water
- 4 firm ripe peeled pears, such as Bosc, Bartlett or Anjou Safeway 1 lb For $1.88 thru 02/09
- 2 Tbsp. Cool Whip or Cool Whip Light Whipped Topping
- Just follow our simple steps
- Mix 2 pkg (4-serving size each) Jell-O Raspberry Jelly Powder and 4 cups water in a large saucepan.
- Bring to a boil on medium-high heat, stirring frequently until jelly powder is completely dissolved.
- Add 4 firm ripe peeled pears, such as Bosc, Bartlett or D'Anjou; partially cover saucepan with lid.
- Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 20 min.
- or just until pears are tender, stirring gently every 10 min.
- Remove pears from liquid; discard liquid.
- Serve pears warm or cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour to overnight.
- Top each pear with 2 Tbsp.
- thawed Cool Whip Topping, if desired.
