Beer And Poppy Seed Soup Recipe

  1. Pour boiling water on poppy seeds, let stand about 15 min.
  2. Pour off water.
  3. Pulverize seeds in mortar or possibly bowl.
  4. Add in about 1 c. of cool water, gradually.
  5. Pour into beer that has been heated (not boiled) with honey.
  6. Garnish with lemon slices and croutons of rye bread lightly sprinkled with salt and caraway seeds.
