Beer And Poppy Seed Soup Recipe
- 1 quart. beer
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1/2 c. poppy seeds
- 2 c. boiling water
- Pour boiling water on poppy seeds, let stand about 15 min.
- Pour off water.
- Pulverize seeds in mortar or possibly bowl.
- Add in about 1 c. of cool water, gradually.
- Pour into beer that has been heated (not boiled) with honey.
- Garnish with lemon slices and croutons of rye bread lightly sprinkled with salt and caraway seeds.
