Candied Curried Pecans Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  2. Line large rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  3. Mix onion pwdr, garlic pwdr, 1 tsp.
  4. salt, curry pwdr, and cayenne pepper in small bowl to blend.
  5. Heat butter and honey with remaining 1/4 tsp.
  6. salt in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Add in pecan halves and stir to coat; remove from heat.
  8. Add in spice mix and toss to coat pecans proportionately.
  9. Spread pecans in single layer on prepared baking sheet.
  10. Bake pecans till dry and toasted, about 40 min.
  11. Cold completely.
  12. Separate pecans.
  13. (Can be made 1 week ahead.
  14. Store airtight at room temperature.)
  15. This recipe yields about 3 c..
  16. Comments: These sweet and spicy nuts - that go great with drinks - would make a nice hostess gift.
