No, It Cant Be That Easy Pot Roast

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Place chuck roast in a large roasting pan.
  3. Lay the chopped vegetables around the roast.
  4. On top of the roast, sprinkle onion soup mix, then pour the cream of mushroom soup over that, straight from the can.
  5. Do not stir.
  6. Cover entire pan with aluminum foil, making sure the seal is good and tight (cover again if needed).
  7. Place in the oven for 4 hours.
  8. Do not peek.
  9. When finished, let cool while covered.
  10. Open foil and serve.
  11. This makes its own gravy and is a one pot meal that will please just about everyone.
  12. Makes great beef stew the next day, if there are any leftovers.
