Green Chili Sauce

  1. Saute the onion and garlic in the oil until softened.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
  4. Puree in a blender for a smoother sauce.
  5. Eliminate the tomato for a pureist's sauce.
