Spaghetti With White Clam Sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 12 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 (6 1/2 ounce) cansdrained minced clams
- 12 cup white wine
- salt
- pepper
- extra herbs
- 4 ounces dry pasta
- Start water for pasta and add pasta when ready.
- Meantime saute onion in olive oil until cooked, add basil, oregano, garlic and red pepper flakes and saute combined for several minutes.
- Then add drained clams and white wine, turn to low and add any additional spices to taste.
- Keep on low, stirring occasionally until pasta is done.
