Grandma Ada'S Orange Rolls(Yields 24 Rolls)

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. With electric mixer add 1/4 cup of the sugar, salt, eggs, sour cream and 6 tablespoons melted butter to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add 1 1/2 cups flour.
  4. Beat until smooth.
  5. Knead in rest of flour.
  6. Let rise until doubled, 2 to 3 hours.
  7. Knead until smooth 1 minute.
  8. Divide dough in half. Roll 1/2 of dough into a 12-inch circle.
  9. Combine remaining 3/4 cup sugar and orange rind.
  10. Brush dough with 1 tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle with 1/2 of sugar mix.
  11. Cut 12 pie shaped pieces. Roll from wide end to point, forming a crescent.
  12. Repeat with remaining dough.
  13. Place point side down in rows in a large rectangular pan.
  14. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
  15. Bake in 350u0b0 oven for 20 minutes.
  16. Pour warm topping over immediately.
