Barbecue Pork Sandwiches Recipe
- 3 pound or possibly more lean pork butt
- 1 tbsp. whole cloves
- 1 sm. bottle ketchup
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 green pepper, minced
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 c. liquid from meat
- Cover pork with water in soup pot and add in whole cloves.
- Simmer uncovered 3 to 4 hrs or possibly till meat breaks away easily with a fork.
- Shred meat into small strips.
- Reserve liquid.
- For sauce, combine remaining ingredients, adding more liquid if too dry.
- Freezes well.
- Nice alternative to sloppy joes.
- Serve on buns.
