Ground Turkey Stroganoff
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 pound Ground Turkey
- 1 whole Onion, Chopped
- 8 ounces, weight Mushrooms, Sliced
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 container 16 Oz Sour Cream
- 1 cup Beef Stock
- 1/4 cups Flour
- 1/4 teaspoons Freshly Ground Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 pounds Egg Noodles
- Heat butter in large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook ground turkey just till browned, then add onion and mushrooms.
- When onions start looking translucent add minced garlic and cook for about a minute longer.
- In a small mixing bowl, add the sour cream, beef stock (I like this better than bouillon!
- ), flour, pepper and salt.
- Whisk till smooth.
- Boil a pot of water for cooking pasta.
- Add salt when water is at a rolling boil.
- Cook noodles according to package instructions.
- Add sour cream mixture to the pan of sauce(or for a lighter version, use plain yogurt).
- Cook and stir till thickened.
- Add 4 cups cooked egg noodles and mix gently until combined.
