Don't Throw Out the Outer Leaves of Lettuce!! An Easy Lettuce Dish in 3 Minutes

  1. Slice the garlic about 1 mm thick.
  2. Cut the bacon into large pieces.
  3. Shred the lettuce with your hands.
  4. (I forgot to do that for the lettuce in the photo...)
  5. Heat olive oil in a pan and saute the garlic until golden brown.
  6. Add bacon.
  7. Saute the bacon until it's making cracking and spitting sounds.
  8. (When you add the lettuce, it will stop spitting, but be careful not to burn yourself.)
  9. Add lettuce, and season with salt and pepper immediately.
  10. Turn off the heat right away and serve.
  11. (Be a bit generous with the pepper and it should be just right.)
