Chocolate Pixies

  1. In small saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat, 8 to 10 minutes.
  2. Cool.
  3. In large mixer bowl, combine melted chocolate mixture, 1 cup (225 ml) of the flour, granulated sugar, eggs, baking powder and salt.
  4. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed, 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Stir in remaining 1 cup (225 ml) flour and the nuts.
  6. Cover; refrigerate until firm, at least 2 hours.
  7. Heat oven to 300 deg.
  8. Shape rounded tspfuls of dough into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar.
  9. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
  10. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until firm to the touch.
  11. Remove immediately.
