Mary's Orange Drop Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Mix shortening, sugar and egg.
  3. Stir in orange juice and rind.
  4. Blend dry ingredients; stir in .
  5. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Frost with orange butter icing: blend powdered sugar and butter.
  8. Stir in orange rind and orange juice until smooth.
