Warm Cranberry Punch
- 8 whole cardamom pods
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 12 whole cloves
- 4 cups dry red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon is good)
- 2 (6 ounce) cans frozen cranberry juice concentrate
- 2 23 cups water (decrease or omit if you want the punch to be stronger)
- 12 cup honey
- 1 cup black currant liqueur (Creme de Casis)
- 1 orange
- Make a spice packet.
- Pinch open the cardamon pods to release the seeds and place them or a piece of cheesecloth.
- Add the cinnamon and cloves.
- Tie up the bundle with string.
- Heat the punch.
- Pour everything but the Creme de Casis into the crock pot.
- Submerge the spice packet in the liquid.
- Steep the punch on low in the crock pot for 1 to 4 hours - do not boil.
- To serve.
- Add the Creme de Casis.
- Serve with orange slices for garnish.
