Grand Marnier Trifle Recipe
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix (without pudding in the mix)
- 2 Packages vanilla instant pudding
- 2 (11 ounce.) cans mandarin oranges, well liquid removed
- 1 lg. and 1 sm. container Cold Whip
- 1 nip Grand Marnier liqueur (or possibly more, to taste)
- Make cake according to package directions for a 13 x 9 inch cake.
- Cold and cut into thirds.
- Make pudding according to package directions.
- Mix in liquid removed mandarin orange sections.
- In large glass bowl, break one third of cake on bottom.
- Sprinkle with Grand Marnier to taste.
- Put a layer of pudding over cake.
- Spread a layer of Cold Whip over pudding layer.
- Repeat layering ingredients, ending with Cold Whip covering the top, till all ingredients are used.
- (Depending on size of bowl - usually three layers - smaller bowl may be two).
- Garnish with candied orange peel, if you like.
- Chill.
