Crisp Butter Cookies

  1. In large bowl, cream butter & sugar until light & fluffy .
  2. Beat in egg yolks.
  3. & vanilla.
  4. In a small bowl, combine flour , salt.
  5. Gradually beat into creamed mixture.
  6. Mixing well ( dough will be stiff) .
  7. On a well floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8" thickness.
  8. With sharp knife or pastry cutter.
  9. Cut dough into 2-1/2" squares.
  10. Place 1/2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  11. Sprinkle with colors.
  12. Bake at 375 .
  13. For 7-8 min.until lightly browned.
  14. ( Watch carefully as cookies will brown Quickly. )
  15. Remove to wire racks to cool.
  16. Store.
