Strawberry Sauce

  1. In 3-quart saucepan, stir strawberries, water, light corn syrup, sugar, and salt.
  2. Heat to boiling on high, stirring.
  3. Reduce heat to simmer 2 minutes or until strawberries are soft.
  4. Puree in blender until smooth.
  5. With spatula, push puree through fine-mesh strainer set over medium bowl.
  6. Stir in fresh lemon juice.
  7. Serve with pancakes, waffles, or pound cake.
