Strawberry Sauce
- 1 lb. strawberries
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- In 3-quart saucepan, stir strawberries, water, light corn syrup, sugar, and salt.
- Heat to boiling on high, stirring.
- Reduce heat to simmer 2 minutes or until strawberries are soft.
- Puree in blender until smooth.
- With spatula, push puree through fine-mesh strainer set over medium bowl.
- Stir in fresh lemon juice.
- Serve with pancakes, waffles, or pound cake.
