German-Style Spinach

  1. Combine bacon and spinach.
  2. Add flour to bacon drippings and blend well.
  3. Add hot water; cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly.
  4. Add sugar, vinegar and seasonings; pour over spinach.
  5. Stir well until wilted.
  6. Garnish with slices of hard cooked egg.
