Philadelphia Cheesesteak Sandwich

  1. Slice the onion thinly lengthwise.
  2. Finely chop the garlic.
  3. Heat some oil in a frying pan and sweat the onion over low-medium heat.
  4. Push the onion to one side, add the beef and garlic, and saute until the meat changes color.
  5. When the beef changes color, saute lightly together with the onion, and season with salt and pepper, being a bit generous with the pepper.
  6. Toast the bread at the same time.
  7. Put the filling from Step 4 on a slice of toast, and top with cheese.
  8. Toast in the oven for about 30 seconds until the cheese melts, and it's done.
  9. If you push the fillings in with chopsticks while folding the toast in half and wrapping it in paper, it's easy to eat.
