Beef and Brocolli Fried Udon
- 1 steak
- 1 broccoli
- 1 udon
- 1 minced ginger
- 1 minced garlic
- 1 minced Thai chilli
- 1 olive oil
- 1 salt
- 1 cracked ground pepper
- 1 coarse salt
- 1 dark soy sauce
- 1 Oyster sauce
- 1 sliced mushrooms
- Do everything as fast as possible or something will get fucked up, trust me.
- Take out steak, rub with olive oil and coarse salt, set aside.
- I used the striploin for this one, as it's got enough marbling but still lean enough for this dish.
- Boil a large pot of water with the pot half filled, use a lid so it's faster.
- Heat up your heaviest pan on the highest heat possible.
- Cut and wash broccoli
- Mince your garlic, ginger and Thai chilli if you haven't already done so.
- We will need lots of garlic, and enough ginger and Thai chilli to your taste.
- When pan is hot throw on steak.
- Flip it before it burns and repeat till its got a sexy sizzling brown crust on both sides while as rare as possible in the middle.
- This depends on how hot ur pan but you should still keep the amount of flipping to a minimum to not disturb the juices within the steak as much.
- When water is boiled, blanch broccoli by turning off heat and using a lid.
- After blanching remove broccoli and set aside
- Put udon in broccoli water and take out when done
- Once steak is seared set aside and rest.
- In the same pan, add a good amount of olive oil and minced garlic
- Fry broccoli with some salt and cracked pepper and set aside
- After steak is rested slice it
- In the same pan add more olive oil and the rest of the aromatic minced ingredients (chilli garlic ginger)
- Add mushrooms
- Add sliced steak
- Add dark soya
- Keep stir frying
- Add udon
- Add broccoli
- Add dark soya and broccoli water to desired consistency and taste
- Consume
steak, broccoli, udon, ginger, garlic, chilli, olive oil, salt, ground pepper, salt, soy sauce, oyster sauce, mushrooms
