Orange Glazed Ham with 2 Sauces
- 1/2 ham on the bone (semi-boneless, approx 2.5kg)
- 180g butter
- 3 cups brown sugar
- Rind and juice of 3 oranges Safeway 1 lb For $0.79 thru 02/09
- 1/2 cup KRAFT FREE* Thai Lime & Coriander Dressing
- 1/3 cup Grand Marnier
- cloves, for decoration
- 1/4 cup finely chopped chives
- 250g PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Cream Cheese
- 1/2 cup light sour cream
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over a medium flame, add sugar and cook over a low heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture is syrupy.
- Stir in orange zest, 3/4 cup orange juice, dressing and Grand Marnier, bring to the boil over a high heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes or until glaze has slightly thickened.
- Set aside approx 2/3 of glaze to use as a serving sauce.
- Remove the rind from the ham by gently using your fingertips to ease the rind away from the fat.
- Using a sharp knife, score the fat by cutting diagonally at 5cm intervals to form a diamond pattern.
- Stud each diamond with a clove.
- Place ham onto a roasting rack in a baking dish.
- Brush liberally with glaze.
- Bake in oven 180C for 25 minutes brushing with glaze during cooking time.
- While ham is cooking reheat reserved glaze and stir through the chives.
- In a medium bowl combine Philly*, sour cream and mustard, mixing well.
- Serve ham sliced hot or cold with Orange Sauce and Mustard Cream.
