Butter chicken
- 300 grams chicken fillets
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp yellow mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 2 tsp crushed ginger
- 2 tbsp crushed garlic
- 20 ml cashew paste
- 150 ml tomatoes
- 125 ml cream
- Heat up a little oil in a frying pan
- Toast the mustard seeds and cinnamon
- Then add the chopped onion and cumin seeds
- When the onion is soft and golden add the turmeric, chilli powder and ground corriander
- Add the garlic and ginger paste and stir in well
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cashew paste
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 3 minutes
- Remove from the heat and blend
- Return to the heat and add the chicken fillets
- Cook for 5-7 minutes
- Season with salt
- Pour in the cream and simmer for 3-4 minutes
