Luscious Strawberry Shortcake Recipe

  1. Sift together dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in shortening with a fork or possibly pastry blender.
  3. Beat 2 Large eggs.
  4. Blend in 1/2 c. lowfat milk.
  5. Add in all at once to flour mix.
  6. Stir just till all the flour is moistened.
  7. Spread proportionately in a well greased 8" round pan.
  8. Bake in a very warm oven, 450 degrees, till the short cake is crusty and golden, 15 to 20 min.
  9. Can be cut into biscuits.
  10. Makes about 30.
