Cheeseburger Casserole
- 1- 1/2 pound Ground Beef
- 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/2 cups Onion, Diced
- 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
- 3/4 cups Ketchup
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Yellow Mustard
- 3/4 cups Dill Pickles, Chunky Diced
- 1/2 cups Water
- 1- 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 8 ounces, weight Crescent Rolls
- 1 whole Egg, Beaten
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Brown ground beef and drain.
- While beef is draining, in the same skillet, add olive oil and saute the onion and garlic.
- Return beef to skillet with onions and garlic, mixing well and season with salt and pepper.
- Next add ketchup, mustard, pickles and water and mix well, simmering 3-4 minutes.
- In a sprayed 9x13 baking dish, layer meat mixture and smooth out.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Unroll crescent rolls over the top, pinching seams together.
- The outside edges may not be covered all the way but that is perfectly fine.
- Brush with beaten egg and then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
