Basic Cranberry Sauce

  1. Bring all ingredients to boil in heavy medium saucepan, stirring often.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until most of cranberries burst, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
  3. Transfer sauce to medium bowl.
  4. Cool, cover, and refrigerate cranberry sauce.
  5. DO AHEAD Basic Cranberry Sauce can be prepared 1 week ahead.
  6. Keep refrigerated.

fresh cranberries, sugar, water, coarse kosher salt
