Jk's Pumpkin Pie
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
- 12 fluid ounces evaporated milk
- 15 ounces pumpkin
- 14 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
- 14 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 14 teaspoon ground cloves
- 12 teas.ground ginger
- 1 12 teaspoons vietnamese cinnamon
- 34 cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 whole egg
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Mix all ingredients well.
- Pour into unbaked 9 inches fluted pie shell.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minute Then cover fluted crust with aluminum foil to prevent over baking.
- Then reduce oven temperature and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minute or until a knife inserted 1 and 1/2inches from side comes out clean.
- Cool pie and garnish with whipped cream.
- Serve at room temperature or refrigerated.
