Anzac Biscuits With Macadamias And Ginger Recipe
- 1 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp grnd ginger
- 1 c. caster sugar
- 1 c. quick or possibly 1 minute oats
- 1/2 c. minced macadamias
- 125 gm butter, cut into small pcs
- 1 Tbsp. treacle or possibly golden brown syrup
- 1 tsp bi-carbonate of soda
- 1 Tbsp. boiling water
- 1.
- Line biscuit trays with Glad Bake.
- pre-heat oven to 160deg.C.
- 2.
- Sift flour and ginger together into a bowl and mix with the sugar, oats and macadamias.
- 3.
- Place butter and treacle in a microwave-proof jug and heat till butter has melted.
- Mix bi-carbonate of soda and water and add in to dry ingredients with the butter.
- Stir to combine ingredients proportionately.
- 4.
- Place spoonsful of mix onto prepared trays, leaving room to spread and bake for about 15 min, till golden.
- Remove from oven and leave on trays for a few min before placing on wire racks to cold completely.
- Store in an airtight container.
