Cracker Jack - Copycat
- 34 cup packed brown sugar
- 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine
- 3 tablespoons simple syrup
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon baking soda
- 14 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 cups popped popcorn
- 1 cup peanuts (optional)
- Combing brown sugar, butter, simple syrup, and salt over low heat until butter is melted.
- Cook WITHOUT stirring for 3 minutes.
- Add baking soda and vanilla.
- Pour onto popcorn and peanuts and mix until evenly coated.
- Bake 15 minutes at 300 degrees.
- Break into chunks.
