Crispy Fried Camembert, With a Cranberry Relish

  1. Put Cranberries, orange juice and sugar in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to the boil then simmer for 3 - 4 minutes, or until the cranberries have spilt and softened.
  3. Stir in the cranberrie jelly and orange rind.
  4. Set aside to cool.
  5. Mix the flour and seasoning on a plate.
  6. Coat the cheese in the mixture.
  7. Beat the eggs in a shallow dish.
  8. Combine the breadcrumbs and almonds on a plate.
  9. Coat the cheese in egg, then in the breadcrumb mixture.
  10. Repeating until all are done.
  11. Put on a plate and freeze for 20 minutes.
  12. Heat about 7.5cm/ 3in of oil in a large deep saucepan, until a cube of bread takes 30 seconds to brown.
  13. Deep fry the cheeses for about 4 minutes, turning occasionally until evenly browned.
  14. Removing with a slotted spoon, drain on some paper towel.
  15. Serve hot with the relish.
  16. Enjoy!
