Savory Ginger Garlic biscuits
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp melted crisco shortening
- 1 cup sour cream or 1 cup plain greek yogurt
- 1 cup club soda, you may also use ginger ale
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 tsp each of freshly grated ginger and garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp each of powdered ginger and garlic.
- In a 7" by 11" baking dish, add the 1/3 cup of melted butter.
- Swirl around to coat entire pan.
- Mix in large mixing bowl all other ingredients until well incorporated.
- On lightly floured surface, roll or pat dough out to 1/2" thickness and cut into 3" rounds with biscuit cutter or large glass.
- Place biscuits over melted butter in baking dish and cook in a preheated oven of 425F for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool for 5 minutes and move biscuits to serving platter.
- Enjoy nice and warm from oven.
