Easy Jambalaya Recipe
- 1 stick andouille, sliced
- 1 pound warm sausage, sliced
- 1 pound ham, in chunks
- 1 pound turkey, in chunks
- 3 white onions, minced fine
- 1/2 c. celery, minced fine
- 1/2 c. green pepper, minced fine
- 1 c. green onion, minced fine
- 1 c. parsley, minced
- 2 tbsp. Tabasco
- 4 ounce. tomato paste
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 c. rice
- 6 c. water
- Saute/fry andouille, sausage and ham in a heavy pot.
- Remove meat.
- Add in white onions to the warm drippings and brown them.
- Pour off excess fat.
- Add in everything else except rice.
- Bring to a boil.
- Let simmer for 15 min.
- Replace water to previous level.
- Add in rice.
- Simmer covered for 15 min.
- Fold - don't stir.
- Turn off fire after 15 min.
- Keep covered and let sit for 15 min.
- Serve.
