Stromboli (a.k.a Pepperoni Pizza Rolls)

  1. *Note: The olives are optional, but I love them!!
  2. You can also use less pepper salad (sliced jalapenos and pepper mix) for a kid-friendly versionOr remove it if you cant handle the spice!!
  3. Its still tasty!
  4. !
  5. I have also used Pillsbury Pizza Doughbut I *prefer* bread dough.
  6. It is less sweet that way and the bread is meatier.
  7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  8. 1.
  9. First, take the *thawed* bread dough and flatten and punch down and pull to get a 1/3 thick, long rectangular sheet of dough.
  10. Looks like a thin cookie sheet.
  11. 2.
  12. On top of dough sheet, cover with provolone slicesbut not overlapping them.
  13. Layer the provolone with pepperoni slices, careful in not overlapping them.
  14. Side by side, people!!
  15. (1st layer dough, 2nd layer provolone, 3rd layer pepperoni)
  16. 3.
  17. Sprinkle on the pepper salad and olives.
  18. (4th layer olives and/or peppers)
  19. 4.
  20. Roll the way you would a jelly roll and seal and pinch close with wet finger tips.
  21. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  22. 5.
  23. Mix egg white and milk and rub on top of loaf.
  24. Sprinkle Parmesan on top and bake for 20 minutes or until dough becomes goldenbut NOT burnt!
  25. !
  26. 6.
  27. ENJOY!
