Gingered Mixed Greens

  1. Place the greens in a colander; drain well.
  2. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Add the garlic, jalapenos and onion.
  4. Cook, stirring, 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in the ginger, broth, salt and pepper.
  6. Cover, simmer 15 minutes.
  7. Increase the heat to high.
  8. Stir in the greens.
  9. Cook until greens are immersed in the liquid, 2 minutes.
  10. Cover saucepan.
  11. Reduce the heat to medium low.
  12. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 20 minutes.
