Peanut Blossoms

• 1 3/4 c. flour
• 1 tsp. soda
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/2 c. shortening (oleo)
• 1/2 c. peanut butter
• 1/2 c. white sugar
• 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 Tbsp. milk
• Hershey candy Kisses

1. Combine the flour, soda and salt; set aside.
2. Cream together the shortening and peanut butter.
3. Add both kinds of sugar.
4. Cream well.
5. Add the egg, vanilla and milk.
6. Beat well.
7. Blend in dry ingredients.
8. Mix well.
9. Shape into balls.
10. Roll balls in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
11. Bake at 375u0b0 for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place a Hershey candy Kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so that cookie cracks around the edge. Return to oven and bake for 3 minutes.
