Shrimp and Grits
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 13 cups REAL Bacon Bits (jarred Or Crumbled Yourself)
- 1 whole Medium Onion, Diced Well
- 1/2 whole Large Green Pepper, Diced Well
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Petite Diced Tomatoes, Undrained
- 13 cups Bourbon
- 1/2 cups BBQ Sauce
- 1/2 cups Water
- 3 pounds Shrimp (Or 1/2 Pound Per Person), Shelled And Deveined
- 6 cups Cooked Grits, To Serve

- Heat oil in a large pot.
- 2.
- Add bacon, onion and pepper.
- Once the onions and peppers soften... 3.
- Add tomatoes, bourbon, BBQ sauce and water.
- 4.
- Let simmer until the mixture thickens.
- 5.
- Add shrimp and cook 3-4 minutes or until shrimp is done and no longer opaque.
- Do not overcook your shrimp.
- Serves 4-6.
- Serve over grits prepared to your liking.
