Peanut Crispies

  1. Melt shortening and butter over very low heat.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in sugar.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
  4. Combine flour, soda, baking powder, and salt; sift into sugar mixture and mix well.
  5. Blend in oats, corn flakes, and peanuts.
  6. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
  7. Place 2 inch apart on greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350F (180C) for 12 to 15 minutes.
