Tuna Tataki
- 1 tuna steaks
- 1/2 cup fresh grated ginger
- 4 tbsp Sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp cracked black peppercorns
- 1 olive oil
- Make a paste out of ginger, sesame seeds and pepper.
- I did this with a Nutribullet.
- I ground the peppercorns, then the ginger.
- Pat paste on all sides of fish.
- Heat cast iron pan over medium high heat.
- Add oil.
- Add tuna.
- Sear on all sides for only 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Thinly slice.
- Serve with ponzu sauce, pickled ginger and Wasabi.
- Meat should be rare inside.
- Enjoy!
