Brazilian Coconut Beijinhos

  1. First, simmer the butter in a saucepan, and then add in the condensed milk over medium heat.
  2. Continue to simmer the mixture with a silicone spatula.
  3. Once the mixture gets thick, be careful not to burn it.
  4. Turn off the heat and incorporate 1/2 cup of coconut flakes into mixture.
  5. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Allow mixture to cool in room temperature for a few minutes.
  7. (mixture will set once refrigerated).
  8. Butter a pan or a plate so the mixture will not stick when you pour it.
  9. Once you pour mixture into buttered plate, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours for it to cool down and to be able to roll them into balls.
  10. Butter your hands generously with butter so it will be easier to roll, use a buttered spoon or your hands to form a small ball.
  11. Toss and roll the ball into your choice of coconut flakes, granulated sugar, or powdered sugar.
  12. (Optional) Stick a clove in the middle of each ball to add extra flavor and for decoration.
  13. However, do not consume the clove when serving.
  14. Place your "coconut kiss"in the mini cupcake liners.
  15. Keep refrigerated.
