Balsamic Figs with Beef Fillet

  1. Marinate steaks in dressing for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil in a frypan over a medium high heat.
  3. Cook steaks to your liking, remove from pan, cover and keep warm.
  4. Add onion and figs to the pan and cook for 5 minutes until softened.
  5. Add stock, extra dressing and sugar.
  6. Bring to the boil then simmer 5-10 minutes until figs have softened and liquid has reduced by half.
  7. Serve steaks with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
  8. Top steaks with balsamic fig sauce.
