- Here are a few important tips for grilling on a cedar plank:
- 1.
- Make sure you soak the plank in water for at least an hour.
- 2.
- Dont put it over a direct flame on the grill.
- I did that the first time and it wasnt pretty.
- 3.
- Cook over indirect heat and youll be able to use the plank more than once.
- Heat the two ends of the grill to medium heat but leave the center section off.
- Put salmon on the water-soaked cedar plank.
- Drizzle with a little olive oil and generously season.
- Place plank over the indirect heat on the grill.
- Remember M-O-M (medium-off-medium).
- It will cook fairly quickly.
- Just keep an eye on it because you dont want to overcook.
- It should take around 12-18 minutes depending on the size and thickness of the salmon fillet.
- Serve with fresh lemon slices and arugula.
- Its so tasty and really good for you.
