Seared Flank Steak
- 1 pinch coarse sea salt
- 1 12 lbs flank steaks
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, to taste
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, to taste
- Put a cast iron skillet on high heat.
- Sprinkle coarse sea salt in the skillet.
- Let the skillet heat up until the salt starts popping.
- Put in the flank steak and sear for about 2 minutes, until it does not stick to the skillet anymore.
- Turn over and sear for another 2 minutes.
- Then, flip the steak every minute or so and continue searing until desired doneness is reached.
- Remove steak from skillet, cover with a piece of aluminum foil, and let stand for 5 minutes.
- Cut steak in strips or bite size pieces and season with salt, olive oil and a dash of balsamic vinegar.
- Serve.
