Seared Flank Steak

  1. Put a cast iron skillet on high heat.
  2. Sprinkle coarse sea salt in the skillet.
  3. Let the skillet heat up until the salt starts popping.
  4. Put in the flank steak and sear for about 2 minutes, until it does not stick to the skillet anymore.
  5. Turn over and sear for another 2 minutes.
  6. Then, flip the steak every minute or so and continue searing until desired doneness is reached.
  7. Remove steak from skillet, cover with a piece of aluminum foil, and let stand for 5 minutes.
  8. Cut steak in strips or bite size pieces and season with salt, olive oil and a dash of balsamic vinegar.
  9. Serve.
