Sweetly Steamed Cabbage and Aburaage with Basil
- 1/4 head Cabbage
- 4 pieces Aburaage
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp *Sake
- 1 tbsp *Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp *Mirin
- 1 Dried basil
- Boil the aburaage in water to remove the excess oil.
- Cut in half lengthwise and then into 5 mm strips crosswise.
- Roughly chop the cabbage.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and cook the cabbage until their colors brightens.
- Add the aburaage and all of the * ingredients and lightly cook while mixing everything together.
- Sprinkle with lots of basil.
- Cover with a lid and steam for 2 minutes on medium heat.
- When you open the lid, you will be enveloped by the lovely scent of the basil.
- Serve on a dish and sprinkle lightly with basil.
